Piglets need a quiet, comfortable space they can call their own—a place where they can sleep, have some alone time, and feel safe. A large superyard portable playpen or a sturdy puppy playpen (not the thin metal ones) works best. Piglets should never be kept in a locked in a cage, dog kennel, glass pen, baby pack 'n play, or crib, as these environments are not suitable for their needs.

When setting up their space, I arrange a bed or large pillow with plenty of blankets in one corner, a heavy food and water dispenser in another, toys in a third corner, and a litter box in the fourth. I always recommend using a water dispenser to ensure the piglet never runs out of water.

Piglets love to burrow and snuggle under blankets, so be sure to provide plenty of them. I also include a variety of toys to keep them entertained and prevent boredom. Additionally, all indoor pigs need outdoor time for exercise and sun exposure to stay healthy and happy.
